Here, gathered in our beloved South Dakota, are a few members of our Williamson / Mattson Clan. Charles and Luella are to be blamed (be kind, they didn't know what they were doing). We're generally a happy bunch and somewhat intelligent (notwithstanding our tenuous grasp on reality). I'm also proud to say that most of us still have our teeth.

For Independence Day, A Potpourri of Pictures Without Any Semblance of Order

From the Fortress of Solitude
Pleasant Grove

Hello All,
Another post today, one yesterday and another the day before that?  Some may say I'm spoiling you.  If so, it is only because you deserve it.  The Space Education Center is closed for three days so the staff and volunteers can enjoy the Independence Day holiday.  Three days off gives me the time to continue working my way through hundreds of snapshots filling several wicker baskets in the Great Room.

Today's post is a potpourri of pictures.  I took one basket, reached in and pulled out a handful of photos.  What I pulled out is what you see below.  Some of the pictures are mine, others belonged to Grandmas Mattson and Liessman.  There are a couple others pertaining to the Williamson side of the family.  It really is as I described above - potpourri.

Shall we begin?

John Albert Mattson, father to Walter Mattson.  John Albert is my Great Grandfather - immigrated from Sweden in 1903.  His obituary was posted in yesterday's blog post.

My Great Grandmother Vesta (Grandma Violet Mattson's mother) holding my mother Luella.  Vesta was born in 1892.  Vesta was visiting her daughter and first grandchild at the Mattson homestead.

This truly is a hodgepodge, patchwork quilt of a post.  We have pictures from all sides
of the family and from multiple generations.
