In tonight's family gathering, I'd like to introduce you to our Great Grand Uncle Carl Martin Mattson.
Uncle Carl was born on September 21, 1863 in Fjaras, Halland, Sweden. He died when he was either 19 or 20 in San Francisco, California in 1883.
The Parish Records of Carl's Birth |
Uncle Carl sailed for California on the ship Romeo, leaving Sweden on the 28th of October 1881 when he was 17 years old, sailing through Hull, England.
Uncle Carl is number 4655 |
We don't know how Uncle Carl died. I'm guessing he was unmarried and therefore had no children.
Simply,
Victor
