From the Fortress of Solitude
Pleasant Grove
Hello All,
It is a beautiful day in Utah County. A sea of gray clouds hangs low in the valley and bright Autumn colors speckle the mountains. My sister Kim and her eldest son Forrest called and suggested we drive through the mountains to the Sundance Resort to see the colors. Luella came along, cane in hand. The drive was beautiful and the small winding mountain road was packed with others with the same idea for a Sunday afternoon. We stopped at Sundance and road the chairlift (Kim's treat!) up the mountain for the best views of the day. I'll post pictures and perhaps a video or two (you'll really enjoy the one of Luella attempting to disembark from the chairlift) later this week.
Today I post the last of the pictures from Aunt Bev's photo album. This completes a series of posts covering the Mattson family up to 1980. Today's post begins with pictures taken in 1978 and ending in 1980. Aunt Bev provided the original handwritten captions. I add captions if her descriptions got cut off in the scanning.
Simply,
Victor
